Can I get into Vassar?

My top choices are Vassar, Northwestern and Tufts
My Mid ranges are Carleton and Lehigh
My only safety so far is Case Western.

I am an Indian, living in Mumbai, but have an American citizenship as I was born in Cleveland, OH and lived there for four years. I go to Mahindra United World College of India, which, as obvious is a United World College (UWC). I do the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Diploma). I will be starting my senior year in August, and finish applying this winter, I guess.

My IB Predicted Score as of now is 33, but I plan to get it up to atleast 36 ( The highest possible being 42 )
My SAT 1 score is 1940 with a 610 CR, 650 M and 680 W (12 in Essay)
I haven't given my SAT 2's yet, but I am planning to give Bio and Lit.

My extra curriculur activities are pretty diverse- with a jazz band, solo music work (which includes playing as an artist in many locations, including a large indie music festival in Delhi, India), co-ordinator of two activities in school- Drum Club and Lights and Sounds Team (I started Drum Club), Model United Nations, otherwise known as MUN (I have attended four, one of which is international in singapore), Journalism experience as an intern in a tech magazine in Mumbai and a part of the press corps behind two International MUN's in Mumbai, Debate Club (We came second place in a debate tournament in United World College Pune) I am also in the Yearbook Team, which publishes the yearbook every year. I maintain a blog at rounakmaiti.com, which is a music review website called Audiophilia (do read!!) I have several recordings as a solo artist and in groups of jazz, folk, contemporary pop etc. with fellow students here as part of my IB submissions- which I will come to later.
I work in a community development project which has built several things such as a bike shed and roadway in a local village, as well as worked with an NGO in Mumbai called MANAV which is a rehab of sorts, where I am currently observing and participating in Music Therapy, Drama, group therapy and general sessions for clients with all sorts of mental illnesses. I have attended Paigaam 2010 as a participant, which is a student conference organized by Dhirubhai Ambani International School that brings together Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Indian students for discussions etc.
I Was a part of a team at the Oracle Web Designing Competition in my previous school, Dhirubhai Ambani International School, which is one of the best in India. Additionally, I received 6 A's and 3 A's in my IGCSE grades. My subjects were English Lit., English Lang, Physics, Chem, Bio, World History, Computer Science, Math and Hindi. I got an A in everything except Chem, hindi and computers, in which I got A's. (A* and A are the two highest grades possible) At this school (which was my freshman and soph. year) I attended the Intel National Science Fair 2009 for computer engineering project, representing my school. I obtained Subject Awards in History, English, Computer Studies and Best Effort Award throughout these two years there as well.
I am educated till Grade 4 of Music Theory and Grade 3 of Practical Music in Piano from Trinity-Guildhall, and am a self-taught player of Guitar and Drums. I also sing. I am writing a paper for my IB Extended Essay along the lines of the cognitive psychology of Musical Geniuses i.e. "Nature vs. Nurture- can both lead to musical genius?" based on some thorough research, which I plan to submit as a supplement. Additionally, I will have an article/paper written on my experiences at MANAV (the NGO I talked about) as well as a CD with all my recordings from various shows and IB music submissions.
I take some pretty hard courses in the IB- English A1, Biology and Psychology Higher Level, and Spanish Ab Initio, Math and Music Standard Level. I have a 5 in bio, 5 in psych, 6 in eng, 6 in spanish, 6 in music and 5 in math- which adds up to 33, as aforementioned. The highest possible grade in every subject is a 7.

[For my "Your Space" section in the Vassar app I plan to put in either a CD of ALL my recordings solo and group, original and covers, some original short stories since I write A LOT...or maybe something else, haven't quite decided.]

That's about it.
1) Do I have a chance at any of the aforementioned colleges?
2) What do my SAT 2 scores need to be to get into them?
3) Any other places I should be looking at? I am looking to major in cog. science or pscyhology, cog sci being the more preferable.
4) How important is the Your Space section to Vassar? and everything else? what matters to vassar the most?

THANK YOU!

After a quick read-through I’d say you have a very good chance! As can be expected, I’m not too familiar with the educational system in India and the exam scores you’ve mentioned, although I’ve heard a decent amount about IB (and how it’s underrated, especially the long composition). The Your Space section isn’t necessary (I didn’t do it and I’m now going into sophomore year), but it will definitely help if it shows a cool side of you they don’t get elsewhere in the application, or demonstrates/expands what you’ve already illustrated in writing. I’d recommend 700-750+ on your SAT IIs, they’re arguably more important for admissions as we don’t exactly trust the SAT I. I got a 770, 780, 790, and 800 on the 4 SAT IIs I took (US history, math I, French, and biology E, respectively), and I think those went far in helping me. Feel free to send more than 2 SAT IIs scores, they take one second to read and can’t hurt if they’re good. My SAT I score wasn’t very good at all so they more than made up for it.

I’d say you have a good shot at all 3 of those colleges, and would say they’re all very strong at cog sci/psych, but will of course point out Vassar had the world’s first cognitive science major and it remains popular/strong to this day. It’s got some amazing and inspiring professors who will be able to work with you much more closely than professors at Tufts or Northwestern could.

Good luck in your admissions process and I hope to see you at Vassar =P!
