Hi,

I'm a prospective transfer student planning to apply multiple schools. I have two professors who gave me an A+ and an A, and they know my academic ability well enough. However, I also have a professor who never taught me but gave me much useful advice on what I sought after. I couldn't find the major and courses I wanted in the current school and consulted with the professor, so she knows my educational pursuit and background very well. Most colleges simply state academic evaluation or recommendation from two college professors or instructors. Because of the limit to the number of letters, I can only choose 2 for some of them. Technically, the latter professor is a college professor, but she never taught me. So would it be acceptable to request one letter from a professor who taught me and one from who didn't teach me in curriculum? Any answer or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

schools I plan to apply to - Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell, Penn, Duke
