Hello all. I'd like to transfer from my local community college (College of DuPage) to either Purdue University, The University of Illinois, or The University of Minnesota twin cities. I'm going into Engineering and I'd like to transfer my JR year.

My current college GPA is 3.258 going into the 2013 fall semester with only 31 credit hours.

(If this isn't enough info to chance, let me know)

The only reason it's that low is because I took two 5 credit hour classes my very first semester and received C's in both. One of those classes was a pre calculus class and I have since taken calculus 1 which I received an A in so I don't think it's a huge deal. The other class was chemistry which I could re-take but since I want to do electrical and computer engineering, I don't think it's super important.

I understand that Purdue University's engineering doesn't accept transfers into their engineering school until they've taken the two FYE courses which I'm fine with doing.

Also, if you've transferred from a CC to a university as an Engineering student, it'd be nice to know what it's like. Chime in with some pointers if you have any!

TL;DR : I want to transfer to a BIG 10 university for Engineering with a college gpa of 3.258 for fall 2014. Chance me?
