Can I make it into UCLA or UC Berkeley?

<p>I really want to go to either one of these two colleges. Parents want Stanford but honestly I don't think I will get accepted . Anyway, here are my stats: </p>

<p>2290 on the SAT
4 AP courses and 4 honors courses as of the end of junior year, not including freshman year. 4 more AP's senior year.</p>

<p>4.01 GPA freshman year
4.18 GPA sophomore year
4.72 GPA junior year</p>

<p>14 EC's 2 of which I'm dedicated to
Started three of those EC's at my school
State ranked in squash</p>

<p>Living in California</p>

<p>Thoughts? Think I have a good shot, or that I shouldn't get my hopes up?</p>

<p>What is your intended major? Those stats look pretty solid, just start working on your essay early to emphasize the ECs you are passionate about.</p>

<p>If you’re a cali student they’re both matches. If you’re OOS, UCLA probably, UC Berkeley you have a good shot for. Stanford, again, is a reach for anybody- but it wouldn’t hurt to apply. </p>

How much of an advantage do cali students get? I’m still somewhat confused as to how they are regarded by admissions at UC…</p>
