Well I am currently transferring to cal state northridge from community college and had a few questions.
Let me give a little background.
I have been accepted and am able to enroll right now, but I am not getting financial aid.
I am currently running my own business and rather pursue that at the moment than go to school, especially because the prices are ridiculous and I deem it as more of an opportunity cost than a benefit to me at this point.
I’d like to know if anyone knows if it’s possible to not enroll right now but to enroll later on down the line maybe in a year to three years?
Will my admission still be guaranteed or would I have to re-apply?
I’d appreciate it if anyone could help me out on this, I appreciate it a bunch.
Your admission is only guaranteed for the starting term you were accepted, I am assuming Fall 2019. If you cannot or will not attend now, you would have to reapply.
Thank you for clearing that up for me.
Would all my classes that I’ve taken at the CC remain valid? Would I be accepted again when I apply later?
All college courses taken will be on your permanent college transcript. If they remain valid in transferring into your specific major, that will be dependent upon the transfer requirements which could change in 2-3 years. You would have to review the transfer requirements when you are ready to reapply. There would be no guarantee that you would be accepted again since again it will be dependent upon do you still meet all the transfer requirements and how you compare to the new in-coming transfer applicants for the term you are reapplying.
