Can I pay initial joining fees to 2 universities

Hi, I have got into 2 of my dream university and would like to take a call between them by a visit post my IB exams - can i pay the intial fees to both and then decide my final choice by 1st june

That’s called double depositing and is a no-no.

You can ask them if they will give you an extension for making your decision. Some places are happy to do that.

But if they say no, when you are just trying to have your cake and eat it too - don’t do it.

In any case, what would change on June 1st? KNowing your results wouldn’t change your admission results.

I think the OP wants to go visit again after exams. Based on the user name and the syntax wouldn’t be surprised if the OP is an international student and could make a holiday of the trip after exams but a long-haul trip between April 1 (or whenever the acceptances came) and the start of IB exams at the end of April (29th or 30th this year I think) is a challenge.

OP, US students have AP & IB in May as well, but they put their deposit down by 1 May anyway- and it’s not always faster for them to get to (say) Boston or New Haven than it is for international students (obviously depending on where they are starting!). It takes just about as long to get from Durango, CO to Boston as it does from Madrid (fewer time zones, tbf, but you get the point).
