I babysit my younger brother almost every weekend/summer. I live in a single-parent household, so my mom works a majority of the time. Can I put this on my UC application even though it’s not under a company? If so, what would I write under the section that asks you to describe the company?
Yes you can, and colleges will definitely consider that. Not sure how for UCs specifically - like any other EC, a job, a hobby, a club? I suppose the “company” would be your family, and your babysitting is essential to allowing your parent to work to support the family.
Yes, you would report it under extracurricular activities and state you were caring for a sibling.
