This might be a silly question, but I just wanted to confirm that I can still apply for the community service scholarship even if I don’t know whether I’ll be attending Tulane? If someone was notified in April that he/she received the scholarship, but decided on a different school and not Tulane, would the scholarship go to someone else? Thanks.
Btw, I was accepted EA with the 20k scholarship. I wanted to apply for the community service scholarship since I guess I wasn’t a match for the higher merit aid 
Yes, the deadline for applying for the scholarship is January 15. As far as what happens if you are a winner but then attend elsewhere, I am not sure with this award. Most scholarships are NOT reawarded, but I cannot say for sure about this one. However, you do get to add the $20K award to the merit award you received, so you would be close to full tuition.

are there any stats on how many applications are submitted for CS award and how many they give, and when notify? Thanks.

I have never seen nor heard a stat about the typical number of applicants, if there even is such a thing as typical. I could see it varying quite a bit year to year. I believe there are 15 awarded. Notification has typically been in mid-March.
