<p>Hi!
I applied for the Community Service Scholarship, and I haven't received a decision whether or not I got the scholarship. It said on the application that winners would be notified by April 1st--so are only winners notified? Only 30 scholarships are handed out, so I never expected to win, I would just like to know a decision either way!</p>

<p>If all applicants are notified, is this by email or by mail? Has anyone received this scholarship?</p>

<p>Probably notified by mail, so it might be on its way. I would say if you have not heard by the weekend, shoot off an email to whoever it is that administers this award. You should be able to find their name by searching the Tulane site.</p>

<p>Notifications were e-mailed. My son got his e-mail around the time DH and PT notifications went out (He didn’t get it)</p>

<p>Maybe tulaneg2018 had that email go to spam. Do you have the name of the person that sent the e-mail so they can check with them as to what happened?</p>

<p>Sounds like they have gone to e-mail for negative results for all these scholarships now.</p>

<p>I checked my spam folder and there wasn’t anything there! Do you know the approximate date that this was sent out? (I didn’t apply for the other scholarships)</p>

<p>It would have been around the end of February, like the 21st or later. I think.</p>

<p>It was march 14th and it was from the VP of Enrollment. </p>

<p>Oh, that’s right. CSS is mid-March. I was thinking DHS and PTA. Hmmm, the VP of Enrollment is Earl Retif. But he doesn’t select these awardees, I am nearly positive that is Brewton’s office. I would still check with Brewton first. If I am wrong, she will point you in the right direction.</p>

<p>How much is the Community Service scholarship for?</p>

<p>$20K, according to the application. That would be a change this year. Before they were worth $5K-$15K at the discretion of the award committee. Now it appears they are always $20,000 per year. Also there used to be 30 awarded. I don’t know it that has changed or not. The award can be added to any merit award received up to the amount of tuition (or maybe tuition plus fees).</p>
