Can I still get into university of Michigan

So it is my junior year of highschool and my gpa is 3.54 and my act score is 34, I was wondering if I still have a chance of getting accepted

Yes you do.

Not impossible, but probably difficult. Are from Michigan or OOS? Your gpa definitely might hold you back. Have you recalculated it using UM’s method (dropping all +'s and -'s)?

I’m from Michigan, but I haven’t recalculated

Michigan heavily emphasizes GPA trend, if you want a shot you really need to bring up your grades asap

I agree with Mich08, but judging from you’re transcript, it’s only the C- which really screwed you over. Add to that the fact that you’re from in State, and I think you have a solid shot at getting in. Just raise your GPA more and do so with some more APs. Michigan loves APs

If you do well for the remainder of your junior year, you have a narrow shot during EA. If not, you can show continued upward trend your senior year and get a solid shot during regular admissions.
