Let's say that I self study for a certain subject in college. Can I take an AP test and get credit for that course while I'm in college?

i dont know, but i heard u have to be in HS in order for the credit to count or something...

No. AP tests can only be ordered and administered by trained AP coordinators, and if they had any sense they would not allow you to take the exam. If you managed to pull it off, you still probably would not get credit from the college for any AP exams taken outside of high school.

If you want credit for a test you take in college, that's what the CLEP is for.

Yeah, I've never heard of a college that accepts AP credits after graduation.

Besides, because most of them are meant to be intro level classes, it doesn't really make sense to take them your freshman year of college after you've completed a ton of intro classes.

Second CLEP.
