uci requires i take 1 year of physics (mechanics, electricity, and magnetism) but i cant get into the physics electricity course for next semester because the class is all full and all of the local colleges in my area either dont offer it, or are also full already. will this hurt my chances of getting accepted? it says its REQUIRED to take it, but is UCI lenient on this? i have pretty much finished all the other required courses and i have around ~3.7 GPA. also my TAG got accepted.

oh and my major is engineering, if that helps

thanks in advance!!

if you didn’t list it on your TAG app then you are probably fine, never hurts to call UCI admissions and double check. However if you didn’t list it are you sure they have approved your TAG app? It says on their website to be eligible for TAG “will complete all major coursework for my chosen major including course prerequisites and minimum course GPA by the end of spring 2013 for fall 2013”.

If you listed in on the TAG app and don’t take it, from what I’ve heard odds are high they will rescind you when they see your final transcripts.

I would call and ask, they may auto-reject you if you don’t have those required classes completed.
