Quote: "Prerequisites: 61A with a grade of B- or better." (from General Catalog - Course Search - Results)

^^I know that. But I was wondering if I was to take 61A after 61B and get > B- would that be ok.

I vaguely heard of people who did stuff like that.

61a is a prerequisite, not a 'postrequisite',to 61b. This means you have to take 61a before 61b.

You have to ask a teacher or counselor to take 61b before 61a and need a compelling reason. Something like "I can't get into the class or a discussion time" won't cut it.

61A is officially a prerequisite but the department might not enforce it. I've taken classes without the necessary prereqs and not had a problem, though 61A and 61B are big enough that the powers that be might actually care about prereqs.
