My background is a little messy, so let me explain. I speak 2 languages fluently (Hungarian and English) and I’m currently learning French. I will also take French as one of my A levels, so once I’ll be 18, I’ll be able to fluently speak 3 languages. The problem is that my school never had a Japanese language learning option, so I never had a chance to learn Japanese, so my question: Can I take Japanese major in Yale with 0 Japanese language knowledge?
Yes, once admitted, you can major in any subject you want. Being admitted or not is a different story entirely.
You can see how the course catalog explains pre-requisites for classes.
Strikes as odd that you want a major you have no experience in. Makes me wonder if this is for real.
