can i take the october subject tests in time for nov 1 deadline?

I just realized that I will have to take my SAT subject tests in october 2016 (when I will be a senior). harvard recommends sending them and that’s where i want to apply REA (deadline nov 1). will i be able to apply early and still send in these scores? thank you SOOOO much!

My son has the same question. He will need to take a science in the fall. I’m assuming the answer is yes, they do take Fall scores; however, I’m pretty sure the scores will arrive after your application deadline. S is taking Math2 today (June 4) and scores will be ready by July 21. A LONG wait! Hopefully someone with experience will answer this question. It takes SAT (6+ weeks)- much longer to report scores than ACT (2 weeks).

The answer is not hard to find on the Harvard website: https://college.harvard.edu/admissions/apply/application-timeline. 3rd paragraph under “Testing Information”.

I think many colleges post dates for last test administration - my DS has to take SAT Subject Test in Physics in October - hoping to get scores in November. Won’t have in time for a few EAs most likely but will send scores as soon as they arrive in any event. Agree re long wait today - DS doing Math 2 as well – result on July 21 - no justification for so long really since all MC.

If you do take them at the last allowed administration make sure you send the free report so the schools get them ASAP. It’s not like you can choose to take them again anyway.
