Can I take upper div courses before lower div courses for my major?

<p>I am a psych major transfer to UC Berkeley and want to double with Media Studies. I have not completed 2 media studies prereq but both prereqs are not offered this spring semester. Could I take some upper division requirements courses first and then take the prereqs next semester and still be able to apply for a double major application?</p>

<p>I am only here for two years so i can't waste any time and take courses i don't need towards my major.</p>

<p>certainly…upper divs for psych are hard to get into unless youre declared though…so good luck with that…</p>
