Hello, I’m sorry if this question has been asked a thousand time. I’ve been roaming the internet trying to find an answer but I’m getting conflicting information. I have attended a community college in my hometown for about two years. I took a couple of general classes, but the majority of my credits are from medical courses to become a Paramedic. I’m applying to an out of state University for foreign language studies, so those credits won’t help me at all. I owe money to the community college, and will be setting up a payment plan with them, but until my account is paid off they will not release my transcripts. I have a pretty hefty scholarship contingent on a Fall 2017 start date, so I need to have my application and (hopefully) acceptance secured as soon as possible. Is it okay if I apply to this new school without my previous college transcripts? I have received financial aid at my previous college. I’m not certain if that is something that needs to be taken into account or not. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Did you already apply to schools? You would have to ask the specific schools itself, but I am guessing that the answer is no.
A college transcript is the most important aspect of a transfer application, and most if not all schools will require it. Also how would they know what year you should be in based on credits? Even if the credits don’t transfer over, your cc grades are the most recent and best reflection of your qualifications.
You have to pay off your cc before they release transcripts. Your admission will be rescinded (alongside the scholarship) if you don’t pay to have your transcript sent.
