My school basically puts in classes where we belong I got low classes because of my low grades in hs . I plan on getting straight a’s but I am afraid that these classes won’t be impressive when I transfer due to the fact my classes aren’t as hard. Will a school like UC Davis or UCLA even consider me?
Not sure I understand your question. Are you in community college and plan to transfer? Are you asking about the community college Honors program and classes? There are no less impressive classes since you need to take the same classes that all transfers have to take for their specific major, although having an Honors designation on your college transcript could help.
What is your intended major and which school are you currently attending?
This appears to be a high school question???
@Ohm888, the OP states that they plan to transfer so that is why I am trying to get clarification. Not really sure what they are asking???
@colleger284 You need to make an effort to clearly state what your current situation is, where if anywhere you will be studying starting in September, and what your longer term plans are.
The ability to write clearly will be one important skill that you can learn that will be valuable in many ways for many years.
This is a hunch, but I think OP is possibly referring to remedial courses?
If you’re in community college, completing IGETC (if appropriate)/major prep and getting a High GPA is what matters most. If you’re taking pre-collegiate courses, those will not transfer and you’ll simply have to take more classes but it will not look bad. You’re supposed to remediate skills in those classes and get better…no reason to be turned away as long as you complete other requirements.
@ImJustaPerson: I was assuming the same about remedial classes at a CC but was hoping OP would clarify before answering.
