I was wait listed to Stony Brook University after applying senior year of high school. I decided to decline the wait list and enroll into St. John's University. After spending a couple of weeks here I have found the school is not for me. The class room size is very small and my major is not what I wanted either. Both of my brothers go to Stony Brook and I really want to transfer there because it is close to home, the academics are more challenging, they have majors I am more interested in and I will save a ton of money. Is it possible to get accepted for the spring semester as a freshman even though I was wait listed with my high school grades and sat score? My gpa was a 93.8 unweighted and my sat was a 1750 (which I know is low). I got a 4 on the AP Calc AB test as well as a 4 on the AP Calc BC test.

They will still look at your HS info. http://www.stonybrook.edu/commcms/irpe/data/cds/CDS_2013-2014.pdf Section D. A very strong first semester may work but the best thing to do is to call their admissions dept to ask.
