Can I use 8th grade SAT scores on college apps?

I'm currently an 8th grader and took the January SAT through NUMATS. I got my scores back, and plan to request CB to have them preserved. I was wondering if I would be allowed to use these scores on my college apps when the time comes. They're good scores, but would colleges frown upon my sending them when they're so old? Would I be required to take the SAT again later and send the new scores as well?

Thanks!

Take the SAT again in freshman year (first test date), it will make life easier

Most likely, you will improve your score within the next four years and won’t care to send this score.

^ unless OP got 2300+
(not that common at all)

^ 2370 with several lucky guesses, which I think is the highest it’ll ever be, so I’d like to avoid a retake if at all possible. By saying that retaking in hs will make life easier, do you mean that sending 8th grade would be a bureaucratic nightmare?

^ wow. Good job. Preserve the score reports and ask the CB to keep it. I’m sure colleges will be impressed with your score (especially at 8th grade). It might be easier to take it in freshman year but I don’t know since I havent gone through the process yet. It wouldn’t be all that bad I guess. Just let colleges know!
