Can I use this pencil?

Hello everyone.
I have been using this pencil to do all of my schoolwork for two years.

BIC® ReAction® Mechanical Pencils, .5mm, Dozen | Staples®

Will this pencil work on the SAT tomorrow?
On the March one, my proctor made me put it away because the rule was #2 pencils only.
You might say that there isn't a big difference but I write almost twice as fast and much neater with the mechanical pencil.

Can someone provide a good source to print out and show my proctor tomorrow if he/she tells me to put it away?

I need to use this pencil.

Thank you.

Technically, HB = No.2 (so it will “work”) but Collegeboard policy is that no mechanical pencils are allowed.

You can’t use that pencil, since it’s a mechanical pencil.

The resource you need is on the Collegeboard website. Go to the website, and then type “mechanical pencils” in the search box. Scroll down to the link that says “SAT Checklist for Students,” and look at the list of things to pack. It says “Two sharpened No. 2 pencils (pens and mechanical pencils are not allowed.”). Of course, that won’t convince your proctor that you can use your special pencil, but I hope it convinces you that you can’t.

nope… no mechanical pencils
