Can l improve?

To be honest. I'm horrible when it comes to Standardized testing, l recently took that ACT Dec.14 for the first time and my scores were horrendous.

English- 13
Math - 17
Reading - 16
Science - 15

Com- 15 :(

I'm a A's and B's student with a 3.0 GPA. I'm currently a Senior and would like to apply to FAU (Florida Atlantic University). I've registered for the next ACT which is a MONTH from now and l was wounder if l study hard would my score go up 5 to 6 points?. My goal is to get least a 20+ is it possible? Is there any tips/ guides that will help me?

My mom hired a tutor for me starting tomorrow for the rest of the month.

Yes. It is definitely possible if you commit yourself to studying. Tutors are a very good study tool! But you should also study independently. Good luck!

Yep. The thing about standardized testing is that it’s always the same type of questions. Getting a tutor and working through the practice tests exposes you to the types of questions on the test. You could probably get a 20

I hope your studying is going well. My tips are simple, but profoundly effective.

Tips: Study, Study, Study. Practice, practice, practice. Try to learn from every mistake you make on a practice test. Each time, get what you got wrong on the previous test right on the new one. If you make those small strides, don’t even doubt the fact that you’ll be scoring 20+. Above all though, have confidence in your abilities to study. Do not let the same phrase, “I’m not good at standardized tests” hold you back. You are what you believe. Continue studying smartly (i.e. practice like a maniac, review your mistakes, continue practicing like a maniac). Good luck! You will do great!
