Can more graduated seniors do "actual results" threads?

awesome thread.

seems to me admissions are just a crapshoot.

i also have one question where i couldn’t find a thread to ask:

is journalism considered an EC?!

Dude, I go to Troy, too. Are you serious that 4.32 is in the fourth decile. I am so screwed.

It’s amazing the number of people posting these who are attending top schools…clearly, CC is a very selective place in itself.

i love this thread. :slight_smile:

me too, I think many pll on CC are too hard on other people’s chances, I became bit more confident by this thread too

I think people in general are harder on other’s chances on CC partly because we don’t see the whole package–essays, personality, interview, recommendations, etc.

Application
-I think my recommendations (debate coach, history teacher, art teacher, former US Attorney General) were the strongest part of my application.
-My interview went very well.
-My essay (about my interest in philosophy) was probably average in relation to other Harvard applicants’.
-I also sent in a visual art supplement: <a href=“http://artattack.to/display.php?artist=1000001004[/url]”>http://artattack.to/display.php?artist=1000001004&lt;/a&gt;
-My father graduated from Harvard in 1955. He would not have been considered a significant donor.

How in the world do you end up with a 6.78 weighted gpa? Haha, got to love weighted grades.

indeed. IB inflated our GPAs something terrible.

Generally they only give up to 5s for weighted credit…
