So I have recently been admitted as an OOS student from Maine. I have already sent in my housing and plan to submit my admissions deposit. So I'm a good student. My stats: 3.3 GPA, 1820 SAT, good ec's, etc. I checked my high school grades last night on my schools portal and I have all B's in my classes ..... and 1 C. I know its just a C but how seriously would they look at that. In the admissions packet they sent my it said they "can", not will revoke my admission if I get below a C. I currently have a 81 in that class and a C ranges from 77-84. I can bring it up in the 83-84 range. I'm planning to visit the school april 1-3. Is it worth it for me to talk to admissions. I just really want to go there and I am very nervous about this C.

Don't get below a C and you will be fine.

Okay thanks

you'll be fine.Others have it worse. My friend got a D in college algebra (dual enrollment) and i got a C for my english class. They still haven't revoked any of us, nor do i think they will later.

Good luck anyway:)

C's are fine. Last year they revoked admissions for D's when they reviewed final transcripts. Anyone with a D needs to call them and start explaining.

You mean a D for the semester? correct?

Any D reported on a transcript. Usually school do not report quarter grades, only semester grades. Just keep D's off the transcript!

Exactly. Just try to not get any D's for final grades, which is what they check for in final transcripts.

Most public high schools in the state of Florida now post semester midterm grades on all transcripts. You will see English IV A 0.5 and A 0.5, showing two grades each for 1/2 a credit. You want BOTH of those grades in any subject to be C or better as a senior.

what about a duel enrollment withrdaw?

Call and ask. Prob not as big an issue. Call and ask and explain.

Actually… they don’t really care if you do badly in one class, just make sure it’s not a fluff class. They just want to make sure you aren’t slacking off. I spoke to an admissions officer about this at preview. AP Chem is hard ;)

^yes they do…pleaz for my sake n urs…get a c n continue ur education at fsu
