Can my Counselor see which universities I am applying to?

<p>Our counselor said to us that we can only apply to 5 universities but there are more universities I want to apply to. on the common app, I have a list of 9 and on all of them it is written that she submitted the school report and my recommendations seem to be complete as well.</p>

<p>So if I submit my application for more universities, would she know? </p>

<p>What should I do? Just submit it for 5 unis but ı don't want to risk it?</p>

<p>You can apply to as many as you want. I have friends who are applying to 10+. I believe counselors CAN see what schools you are applying to. But I think 5 is just a suggestion, there isn’t really a limit to how many universities you can apply to. Please don’t let your counselor dissuade you from applying to all the schools you want to (unless there is a good reason besides a ******** “rule of thumb”)</p>
