my GPA year by year including only core courses:

Freshman: 3.2 (1 honors course)
Sophomore: 3.52 (2 honors courses)
Junior: 3.87 (3 APs, 2 honors)
Cumulative: 3.53

My SAT is a 1410/2110 if that matters.

Is my 3.53 cumulative going to kill me?

Simple answer...no. Your SAT is high and your GPA is not too low. You will be fine.

also it shows an upward trend. and you sat is good

Your GPA got better as your classes got harder. I think that looks good.

Ya I agree, your SAT's will outweigh your freshman year courseload. I mean they report SAT scores so they have to remain consistent. lol.

I got in with 4 B's and 2 A's for both semesters of freshman year. Trust me, as long as you have an upward trend don't worry about it. (If it helps, I have friends who got in with lower gpa's and sat's than you) I currently attend NYU.

your freshman year isn't that important, don't worry

Most colleges are ok with low freshman GPA if you show an upward trend.
Good SATs

They can also overlook Sophmore, Junior and Senior years if they aren't good enough too!

thanks guys

hsseniorlooking - you're a prick
