<p>I'm an 09ner so I wouldn't know, but I definitely think so. I mean, think about how many people submit their apps at midnight on the last day. Teachers and counselors aren't gonna write you recs during their winter break.</p>
<p>They open a file with your name as soon as they receive something from you, whether you follow through with an application or not. This is especially common with sending SAT scores, I think.</p>
