Can one send highlight video of a futsal match or any soccer match with less than 11 players a team, to the coaches?
You can send whatever you want, but futsal is a different game. Your skill may excel on the futsal court but it might not show on the grass.
I’d also suggest you direct the coaches to certain points on the tape when you play a role. They don’t want to watch hours of tape to look for you for 3 minutes.
OK thanks. But should I keep the whole match videos as I have read some coaches ask for the whole match tapes?
Many do want to see more of a game situation and not just highlights of you scoring or making a save, etc. They want to see how you work with your team, but they don’t want to watch 2 full games so if you have a few great plays or a few good minutes, point those out.
Unless you know for certain (like, a thousand percent sure) that the SOCCER coach loves futsal and thinks it’s the best crucible for evaluating players, I would refrain. If you haven’t got enough video of you playing 11v11, then a coach isn’t going to accept futsal instead.
I write this as a futsal proponent. But the college soccer game is so unlike futsal, with much greater emphasis on physicality (size, speed, strength) that even setting aside the notion that the best futsal players don’t always make the best 11v11 players, futsal just isn’t recognized enough here. MAYBE if you have a solid highlight video, include a separate futsal one if you’re doing insane stuff that shows your quickness (first 3 steps), ability to beat players 1v1, and ability to absorb contact or such.
