can other universities see if I am applying early decision in common app?

Im applying ED to NYU Stern and EA (Preferred Admit to Ross) at UMich.
Will my chances of admission at UMich decrease because Im applying ED to NYU?</p>

<p>Schools cannot see where else you have applied or whether you are applying early to other schools. It’s theoretically possible that other schools would find out during the early admit process, but only because admissions folks do know each other and cross paths and sometimes they talk. That would be the only way other schools would find out about where you have applied at this point in the process. </p>

<p>If you file a FAFSA then all schools you send it to will see the list of all the schools you send it to.</p>
