Can schools be added back to FAFSA after being removed?

Hello,I realized that I made some errors on FAFSA (didn’t include the 401 deductions) after removing some schools and adding new ones. If I update FAFSA now, only the current schools will get the updated information. Should I just leave it? Or should I remove some schools after they download FAFSA and adding the removed ones back in?

Yes, you should include the new info on your first 10 schools (update the information)

Yes you should correct your submission for ALL schools.
Be sure to wait until one correction is processed before changing the schools on the form to submit the correction to the remaining schools.

I guess my question is - I already removed some schools from FAFSA. Can I add them back in?

@tula32 yes you can

Thank you! This is a huge relieve.

Yes, I did

How do I know all the current schools already downloaded the info and it is safe to remove them?

Usually you will get a follow-up email within a few days that says your FAFSA correction was processed successfully.
That is all you need to wait for to know that the schools have access to your updated info.

We did have one instance where that email never came. When you log back in to your FAFSA, on the right it shows the status of any recent correction, with the date it was processed. So if you didn’t get an email, you can check there. Again, usually it is processed within a few days at most.
