Can somebody here kill my hope of transferring to UCB HaaS?

Basically I started college at the state level and got a 3.0 one semester, and a 3.4 the next. The second semester I was diagnosed with ADHD and decided that being at that school wasn't making me happy. I switched to community college this semester and should be getting a 3.6 or 4.0, depending whether or not it's mathematically possible to get in A in Calculus at this point in the semester. I'm positive I can get a 4.0 next semester since I've chosen to take classes that aren't ask tasking as calculus. But my cumulitive won't be a 4.0 or even a 3.8 (more like 3.6-3.7) and I'm hoping having some great extra curricular activities to compensate for a lower GPA

Right now I participate in the CEO club but that's all I'm doing for extracurriculars at the moment. I'm learning web development over the winter break so I can start developing informational sites about topics I feel strongly about + start designing websites for small businesses. I also have written mental notes to start running a marketing blog after I'm finished with finals (which is my reason for majoring in business). I'm probably going to teach myself French during this period of time since I really love the language (I'm not sure if I should even bother listing this but I've seen other people list teaching themselves other languages on their 'Chance me' threads' . I'm also going to start volunteering once my mom gets her car back from the shop (it's been in there for ~3 years, TMI but I'm from a low-income household). I also have aspirations to start a small book store on Amazon but it's an idea I only had recently and again want to wait till the semester ends next week to start it.

I know HaaS is probably the most competitive major to transfer into out of all of the CA public schools so I need somebody here to tell me that having awesome extra curricular activities that show a clear interest in the major aren't going to save a less than amazing GPA for a transfer, even though it increases with each semester and especially after I found out I had a learning disability. Basically, I wonder if all of this hard work is going to be worth it or if I'm better off going to a CSU at this point for business.

It’s Haas with a lowercase “s”.

You have a chance. I think Irvine also has Business Administration. Sorry I’m not giving a very detailed response, but I’m busybusy preparing for finals.

With stellar personal statements and extracurricular accomplishments you can make it in. Shoot for the stars.

You have a chance. It isn’t all about grades and you seem to have relevant ECs and some justification for your difficult first two semesters.

1st if you don’t get an A in Calc you can pretty much say goodbye to your chance.
2nd I know one person who got into Haas with a 3.6 GPA but he wrote a GREAT personal statement about Alcoholics Anonymous, overcoming addiction and tieing-in in the leadership experiences he got through those school-type clubs. For you. You’d need to really focus on how you are overcoming your learning disability and still pulling off all As in important classes such as calculus.

FYI, both me and Gunnn are applying to Haas this year and I would say we both have better ECs than you.

Berkeley is definitely the school that will take into account your personal statements and background more than any other school (only UCLA and UCB actually read the personal statement for transfers). But at the same time Haas is the best business school on the west coast aside from Stanford, so even a 4.0 is no guarantee. Alternatively, you could apply as an Econ major instead and have a higher chance of being accepted.

Merced and Irvine also read them.

^ True but from what I have seen of others, UCB is the only school that will weigh personal statements enough to compensate for gpa.

Probably true also.
