Can someone critique my essay on my experience with mental illness?

I've seen threads regarding the topic and it seems to be 50/50, but I tried to make it less about the illness, and more about recovery and the experience. If anyone is interested, post and I'll PM the essay. :)

Bump! I’ve gotten some wonderful advice already and I’d like some more people to read what it’s evolved into. :)

I was actually thinking the same thing, while dealing with depression my gpa dropped 4 points and I became a really bad student. Ever since I’ve recovered I’ve been doing great and I would love to put my experience into the essay, and to show that mistakes don’t make you who you are and that recovering made me into a better person. However, I don’t want to be judged for dealing with depression and stuff like that. :/

I didn’t mention my grades dropping explicitly in the essay, it really didn’t drop too much except for my regents (our standardized finals in NY) grades at the end of the year, hopefully they can infer that.

I’d be happy to

send it over, I can help

send it over  I was thinking along the same lines :)

Would someone mind helping critiquing my essay as well?

Applying for Naval Academy wanted to know if my essay was up to standards.
