<p>I think you would more likely get a response with specific questions. Not many people have time to address something so broad in scope. Also suggest searching prior threads to get started.</p>

<li> Read the brochures that cover your field of interest.</li>
<li> Plan to visit the campus and take the tour both of the campus itself and the separate tour of SCA.</li>
<li> Make an appointment with a representative in the CS department and discuss opportunities, faculty and job opportunities after graduation. Prepare yourself first before this appointment.</li>
<li> Walk around campus and talk to students.</li>
<li> Make an appointment to tour the engineering complex and view plans for the Michelson Science/Engineering Center.</li>
<li> Take the metro to downtown Los Angeles ( two stops ) and see the Disney Concert Hall, bookshops, galleries, theaters, restaurants, museums and performing arts center.<br></li>
<li> Visit the financial aid office to see if USC cost of attendance fits into your family budget.<br></li>

<p>cons- bigger classes, graduate university as well so less attention then purely undergraduate colleges, have to take initiative to do well, hard to get some of the most popular classes </p>
