<p>I read OP’s second post and it reminded me of ‘euphemism.’</p>
<p>I would have said “elation.” It depends on the context, though. I think euphoria would be more apt for describing a high-esque state, while elation would be happiness to a lesser degree. </p>
<p>IMO, Euphoria is making a five footer to win the Masters; elation is making a sixty footer for par.</p>
<p>I would have said “satisfaction,” since that word feels pretty familiar to me in that context.
Also, it has a slight alliteration to it with the word “sense.”</p>
