Extracurriculurs

260 Hours at a local hospital, junior auxiliary board member there
Various community service most notably afterschool tutoring for hs students, afterschool enrichment for middle school students (I really like working with children)
Have 2 research awards (relatively minor, one is honorable mention in a regional science fair and one is “international” but it is a science fair that only includes Indians)
Volunteer Coordinator at a temple
Paid Swim instructor
Officer of Research Club at my School
Intern at Research Institute

Little bit about my research: I haven’t gotten into research until my junior year in high school. I soon fell in love with research and did my first actual science fair project, which got two relatively minor awards (not too shabby for a newbie like me). However, I soon met with other professors and mentors who were interested in my research at the fair and offered me an internship at their labs! That was pretty awesome because I got to do more research in an actual lab instead of at school. … Do you think Brown and other colleges will just dismiss my research bc I haven’t won any major awards like ISF, GSF, etc?

Do you think I have a shot at the UG?
If I do, do you think I have a shot at the PLME program b/c I think I covered the three bases (academics, volunteering, and research) with research being my weakest area.
