Percentage chances don’t mean much. Really, WHO can give arbitrary numbers to an application? Except the admissions officers, maybe.

Back to chancing… score-wise and EC list-wise you do appear to be a contender for your listed colleges. It depends on the subjective essays and luck now. In any case, good luck for all your applications!

Rwang, since there’s only a few more days left, try your best to relax and keep your fingers crossed. You should have a good chance for schools other than the elite ones – but hey, who can predict who’ll get into an elite school anyway (even the adcoms will admit how hard it is :P)? You’ll do great in life regardless what happens. Best of luck :D

Ok, i am going to give you an honest answer here as most of the above posters have sugar-coated their responses. Since you are president of the “Asian club,” I take it you are asian (an ORM), and as you have said, you have no hooks. So, expectations are high for you. Your SAT score is ok. However, A BOAT LOAD of Asians have an 800 on the math and a 670 on CR will slaughter you at HYPS. Your awards are ok, but, again not really on par with Yale (unless that marching band thing is a bigger deal than I thought). Lastly, you do have good officer positions. However, I find three presidencies to be a bit excessive. Your ECs are a positive for Yale, but they will prbly question how involved you truly were in those three clubs. Overall, ya, you do have a chance. Keep your hopes low, though, that way you can be pleasantly surprised come the 15th.

HAHAHA rwang143 I’m 99% sure I know who you are, judging from your summer activities and recent fb status updates…anyways, I didn’t know you applied Yale SCEA too (or maybe I did at on epoint and forgot), but I wish you the best of luck, and I’ll stop being creepy now :)

mannoual, it was a pretty good experience. if you truly like science you’ll like it but it also depends on what lab you end up in. I know that i probably would have had a better time had i been in a more talkative/ social lab but it was still great. good luck getting in!

plumdum, can i ask who you are out of curiosity…

Colllegestress16: haha, it’s quite easy if you’re from the same region and stuff… I’ve recognized every single person from my country on CC alongside some foreign friends that I have. I guess sometimes stats are more than just stats =)

^a friend in real life figured out who I was by my chance thread. pretty creepy o.o

anyway, I agree with Rtgrove. except about the 3 presidencies thing…I have 3 presidencies and I don’t find that “excessive”. your scores are tad low for an asian though xD
