Hi, I am a senior and my GPA is around 3.1. I want to get into an accelerated medical program (6 or 7 year) or into an guaranteed medical program. I have interned at the NIH for 2 summers now and will now start an internship during the school year in a lab with some clinical "training" by shadowing a doctor at NIH. I have volunteered 398 hours and have been given awards by the governor of Maryland for such acts. I also won 2nd place in a science fair. Lastly, I was a part of my school's football team for a year and got my varsity letterman award. I want to know what the chances are that I will get into a combined/accelerated medical program (anywhere in the country). I have no preferences to where I go, as long as it has a program that I can get into. I hope to raise my GPA this year by at lease .2 or .3. So can someone PLEASE give me a realistic outcome for me??

The students who get into those programs typically have top grades and are at or close to the top of their class, along with excellent SAT or ACT scores.

It’s good that you have medical exposure, but you may not have the grades to be competitive.

Your SAT and GPA matter a lot, can you post your ACT/SAT? A 3.1 seems pretty low, what’s your class rank also?
