Hey everyone,

I am an IB Diploma student in Dubai and have been rejected by pretty much every school I applied to because of my very very low SAT of 1800. I wish I had put in more effort.

I got rejected at:

Brown, Cornell, USC, Vanderbilt, NYU, University of Chicago. I also got wait listed at Miami and trinity college.

I am still waiting on Michigan but I am not expecting to get in.

My IB diploma predicted is around 38-39/42 which is high. That is very frustrating for me as I have put in sooo much effort in order to keep my overall school grades very high.

Anyways, I have been accepted to Northeastern. I am in the honors program as SAT's are not used for international admissions.

I plan on studying for the SAT's this summer and redoing them in September or October. I also plan on trying my best to achieve a high IB Diploma grade.

I plan on studying economics and my college GPA should be high as I have already started some advanced concepts on my own.

What I want to know is what else can I do to ensure a transfer to a great school like Vanderbilt or Cornell?

Also, If i want to transfer after one year would colleges care about my high school grades even if my college GPA was high?

Is it a lot easier to transfer after two years given that the college GPA is high both years?

Thanks a lot!
