Can someone please help with my essay!?

I finally completed my Fashion Institute of Technology admission essay after about my third draft. Can someone just give me feedback.

As I sit back, watching the two-hour Real World Casting Special in my living room a few years ago, I thought to myself "this is exactly what i want to do". Before this special aired, I never thought about the hard work that goes into casting people for shows. Then I started thinking about my life as a dancer. Did I really want to throw away the dedication I had towards training my body so that I can ultimately have a career in performing arts? So many thoughts overflowed my mind. I analyzed myself and came to the conclusion that as much as i love to dance, I didn't want to be a performer. I felt like I didn't belong in the limelight. I was now fascinated with the process of finding someone for a certain project.

When I came to this realization, I was only about 15 years old. I continued to dance as a side thing until I was old enough to actually do something to start my long term goal. As soon as I turned 17 years old, I took initiative and contacted many casting directors and agencies. To my surprise, I got a lot of feedback. There was one response in particular that said to study advertising and marketing. I am aware that many schools provide this major, but i don't just want to settle for any school. As a New York City native, the appeal of having close access to the advertising and marketing/media industry is certainly a part of my interest at The Fashion Institute of Technology. FIT has the talent that I need to be surrounded by in order to grow.

Coming from a performing arts background, I have the creativity to accomplish many great things at FIT. I can visualize concepts in my mind and bring them to life. "Too whom much is given, much is required." Throughout my entire junior high school experience, administrators kept stressing this motto. It carried on with me all through high school and gave me much inspiration. There are always roadblocks, but because of my positive outlook, I have learned to surpass them and persevere.

I am a perfect candidate for FIT because of my determination, dedication and creativity. I know I will be able to succeed as an advertising and marketing communications major due to my work ethic. I am ready to follow through with my goals, and am looking forward to accomplishing my degree at The Fashion Institute of Technology.
