Can someone read my "Why Vassar?"

I am stressing out so much. This is my first choice and I feel my essay sucks!

Isn’t the limit 500 characters? That’s not exactly an essay.

And because I just realized that replying without offering my services makes me look like an *******, sure! I’d gladly take a look, so feel free to PM it to me.

Well, we were also given the option to upload a document, so I think essays are justified. And sorry for replying without offering to read. I’m a prospective student as well, and I don’t think you’d want me to read it. :)

Okay, so you guys are definitely going to upload an essay? I just realized the common app limit was 500 characters and that freaked me out a little. I have so much to say about Vassar that a 500 character limit is impossible for me, but I don’t want to give them a long essay when all they want is a short answer…
Anyway, I would read your essay but I’m applying also, so I probably shouldn’t.

I’m kind of torn as well. I already uploaded the short-short answer, but I think I’ll expand it into a paragraph or two and reupload it as a file.

Hey I can read it if you want.

Okay, how bad is it? My daughter’s Why Vassar is 500 words instead of 500 characters. I’m afraid to ask, but how bad is this gonna be on her application?

The Vassar supplement doesn’t specify a length (or didn’t 3 years ago…) My essay was 600 words and longer than my general essay, so I wouldn’t worry about it. I can’t imagine Vassar penalizing an applicant for being too enthusiastic…

mine was 500 words (I guess I misread the character/word thing, but I also had so much to say!) and I got accepted ED, so no worries I think
