Can someone talk some sense into me? Deadline is tonight...

I've been a bit obsessed with standardized tests. I took my first SAT in May, first ACT in June.

In May I scored a 2020 (1350/1600) on the SAT.
In June I scored a 31 on my ACT (32 Eng, 31 Math, 32 Reading, 27 Science)

I got these scores without studying too much, and I was pretty proud of them.

So, I, thinking I could do better with actual studying decided to study and take them both again. I signed up for both because I wasn't sure if I would do better on one or the other, and frankly, I don't really mind sitting for the tests.

My schedule was pretty crammed (I am taking 11 classes my senior year), so I didn't have that much time to study.

In the course of six weeks, I took the SAT IIs (Math 1c, Lit, US History), then the ACT, then the SAT. I had a standardized test every other weekend. I studied for about two weeks for each test. I always felt pretty confident with my scores.

So, time ticked on and the scores rolled in. I got a 750 on US History, a 660 on Lit, and a 650 on Math.

Then, earlier this week I stayed up until 1 am waiting for my ACT scores to be posted online. Much to my surprise I scored a 29. I scored a 28 on Eng, a 28 on Math, a 30 on Reading, and a 31 on Science. Very lopsided scores compared to my first test.

Was this test a fluke? Was the first test a fluke? Did I not study enough? Was it too many tests in too short a time period?

It was especially unsettling because I considered the ACT "my test" at least compared to the SAT.

I am unsatisfied, to say the least. To be honest, I am also getting nervous about my SAT scores that are coming in about 10 days. I feel confident with how I did, but I am just afraid that I did worse than i did the first time, like what happened with my ACT scores...

I am debating whether or not I should take either the SAT, the ACT, or both again. The deadline for late sign up for the December date of the SAT is tonight, while the deadline for the ACT is on the 20th.

What do you guys think of my situation? Should I take them again? Am I just being crazy?

At least for the ACT, when I thought I did better (The October test) I actually did worse...

Help!

your scores right now are great! why are you freaking out?

11 classes??!! ***?? are u taking some at a community college? what classes are these

Yeah, I’m in 11 classes. Our regular school schedule fits in 8 classes at the maximum, and I am also enrolled in Chamber Orchestra and State Band. I am also doing a Student Initiated Research project.

I’m just freaking out because my GPA isn’t that great. It is a 3.3 UW because of my 8th grade and freshman year grades. I just want to get the best possible score to make up for a less than great GPA.

Well… I signed up for the December SAT last night…

id retake the SAT

and again it depends on what schools you’re applying to
