As of this point, I am in a constant state of freaking out. I feel I did horribly on my SAT's and I don't know if I should try the ACT's instead. I'm in Georgia. I don't know if that means anything and I assumed that I would do well on the SAT's because english has always been a strong point and I've always kept a pretty good grade in math. I got a 1750. And I really am not sure what it even means.

And I know that I am rambling. I'm sorry. Oh, and I'm about 2 weeks away from being a senior in high school and my plans for the future consist of med-school and basically I've always been told I was smart, and have never really had to study, so now I know that I need to learn how and I have no idea how to.

I know how you feel. I took the June SAT and I got a 1640.

I've also been told that I'm smart and I do plan on going on to graduate school.

I'm planning to take the ACT on Sept. 15. I'm not sure if Georgia offers it at that date.

I suggest studying for the ACT. Take practice tests from the Real ACT book and read the lessons in the Princeton Review book(Cracking the ACT).
Take a diagnostic test first. I took a practice test online and I got a 27 on the practice ACT test.

I'm doing that right now on top of my AP lit homework.

Good luck.

By the way, math has always been my strong point and I get good grades in English. I messed up on the CR(530) and Writing(490). I got an ok math score: 630.

My math was really bad. I got a 500. I almost cried when I saw it. I did okay on the other two parts.

Thanks for responding. I'm going to try and find out what I can about the ACT.

Hopefully, we'll do well on the ACT. I don't want to take the SAT again because they purposely put vocabulary there without giving you a definite list of 1,000 words that might be there. Prep books have some SAT words, but they don't give all of them.

The ACT tests comprehension and purpose much more. There are only 4 questions that refer to trig, but they're not hard. You can read the PR book to improve your math. The Real ACT book is good for its practice tests.

Again, good luck. You're not alone because I'm pretty sure there are tons of student who have good grades that don't do well on the SAT. Because you didn't do well on the SAT, maybe the ACT is a better route. If you do worse, try the SAT again.

I now how you feel when I had just turned 15 I took a practice sat at home and got M 570 Cr 390 W 460
The key is to read go through sat books and most of all take as many practice tests as possible but make sure after you are done to analyze them. That was what I did and one year later after a nice amount of studing I got
M 760 Cr 650 W 680...unfortunately I am still not satisfied
