Can sophomore standing compromise my eligibility for 4 years of Cal Grants?

<p>I will be an entering freshman with some 12 AP exams completed. This will probably mean I be a freshman with sophomore standing from the beginning. </p>

<p>Here's my question: Will this affect my eligibility for 4 year's of Cal Grants? I read somewhere that the California Student Aid Commission may reduce my 4 year Cal Grant eligibility to 3 years. I am sure I am not the only person with this problem at Cal. Can someone speak to this issue and share their experience. Thanks in advance.</p>
