I didnt really do that well this junior year since I went from my A's and high B's to a huge range from A's to low C's.

I know that I pretty screwed myself over but Im gonna take some college courses at my local city college. So if I take the courses and do well in them, can i use it as a way to redeem myself by proving that I can actually handle doing college work?

I guess that depends on where you hope to go and why you did poorly your junior year.

This is a big if. I adjunct at the college level and often students will ask “if I ace the final can I still pass the course?” I always say “ace the final and we’ll see”. I’ve yet to have a student who was basically failing turn around and ace a final.

Make sure you are not engaging in magical wishful thinking regarding your ability to redeem yourself with summer courses. If you decide to go for it, give it everything you’ve got. Sleep is for the dead, as they say.
