Can teachers edit their recommendations for later colleges?

Pretty much, here's what happened. I applied ED to Columbia, and one of the teachers I "invited" on the CA to write me a recommendation letter mentioned Columbia in her letter. Is there any way she can go back and edit that out? I was deferred, so now I'm applying to a bunch of other colleges, and I don't think they'd look too fondly on that...

I've tried making another CA, but even then it still has the recommendation status as "submitted." I can't seem to delete her and then re-invite her, or anything. Help?

No she can’t edit the letter. You would have to “re-invite” her using a different name eg use her middle initial, or only first and middle initial with a new email address in order to use her.

Make sure you then keep track of her new name to add her to your other schools for a teacher rec.

That’s what I had figured. Darn. Thank you!
