Can the daily actions of average people have a significant impact on the course of history?

Please grade my essay and tell me what I need to improve on

The daily actions of average people can have a significant impact on the course of history. Leaders of political movements protest everyday to gain what they are protesting for and their success positively impacts future generations. Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi both show the impact their daily actions have made in history.
Martin Luther King Jr. was just an average minister who led the African-American Civil Rights movement. His powerful speeches, such as "I Have A Dream" speech, and the long marches he led daily gained him many followers. He worked hard to gain equality for whites and blacks everyday. He and his followers boycotted public transportation everyday until segregation between whites and blacks finally ended and African-Americans gained their rights. Martin Luther King Jr's daily actions did have a great impact in history because he and his followers gained civil rights for African-Americans in future generations.
Mahatma Gandhi was just an average politician who led the Indian independence movement. He gained more followers everyday by leading long marches across the country and protesting British taxes on good daily. His daily actions earned him and his people freedom from British rule. Daily actions of average people can have impact on history because we can gain freedom from strict rule.
Martin Luther King Jr was an average minister, but he became one of the greatest heroes in history protesting for equality between blacks and whites and succeeding. Mahatma Gandhi was an average politician, but he was praised in India for his success in leading the independence movement everyday and finally winning India's independence. These two were once average people, but their daily actions of protesting and giving speeches, made them heroes who had a significant impact on the course of history because they created better circumstances for their generation and future generations.
  1. I feel as though you lack development of your thoughts! Additionally, I'd prefer if you chose Mahatma Gandhi or MLK and then chose a different example (a personal or literary). Pretty nice essay though!

Thank you so much for your feedback!

4? No way. I would give this 8.

Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi are hardly average people.
