<p>It seems like high school students are able to check their application status online, and it updates to let them know that the colleges have received certain things (though I am not sure about this). There is nothing like this for transfer students, correct? If so, how would we ever know if a professor forgets to mail recommendations or something gets lost in the mail?</p>
<p>This is school-dependent. Some schools do provide online systems where you can log-in. Some schools will email you if your file is missing something. Other schools probably have some other way. In any case, you can probably call the admissions office to confirm.</p>
