can u make changes to the common app after sending it to a college?

<p>i am applying early to some safety schools and was considering fixing up my essay for other schools i am applying regular decision, but i've heard that you can't change it after its been sent anywhere. is that true?</p>

<p>as of Oct. 19, the policy has changed to allow people to change their essay (and whatever other things that need to be changed) on their common app.</p>
