So can one study abroad as a transfer? Because there is a unit cap, I would only be able to study abroad if the classes fulfilled major requirements. Do they? hat is the point if they don't...i mean as a transfer anyway.

You can study abroad through EAP and UCLA summer travel session, and any other program you know of actually- even third party programs.

There is a unit cap, and it will be long b4 you reach it. If you think that ALL you have to take is your major requirements and you are done, that is HIGHLY unlikely.

You need 180 min to graduate. 60 of which must be upper division units. There is plenty of room in there and plenty of need to take electives.

If you enter with 90 UC transferable units, you need 90 more- that is about 22 -23 UC classes (at 4 units a class) . Most majors at max 15 courses.

In regards to classes fulfilling major requirements- that will depends on your major clearly. There is a variety of programs that have tons of classes....

Go to UC EAP and see the types of programs they have.
