Can u take an AP Test in college?

I am interested in taking the AP Bio test sometime this year, b/c I know that I could recieve a 5 on it, and I never took it in high school. I took one semester of Bio at Cornell and don't want to do another one. I know SO many people, that took the first semester and got 5s on the ap test in high school, and they aren't taking the second semester, they all said FORGET this. So can I take the AP test in May as a college student, and I will study for the second semester material, and I am fairly confident I can get a 5. Is this possible??????????????

Thanks

yup, the acorns will be MORE than happy to take your 82 bucks...just contact a local ap testing center (i.e. high school) to register through them.

bball87: doesn't medschools want applicants to take intro. to biology?

The important thing to remember is that med schools need you to have two semesters of biology with lab. If you think upper-level courses will be easier (which is possible) or that they will look slightly more impressive (also possible), then by all means do that.

A few med schools accept AP credit. You will have to check each school's specific requirements to find out, but the bottom line is that many of them don't. You will need a year of biology unless you applying to schools in Texas, in which case you'll need two years of biology. There may be no getting around it with APs, sadly.

I am, however, confused about one thing: wouldn't AP Bio get you out of your first semester of bio - a semester you've already taken?
